CHINA SPRING, TX — A China Spring woman is reminding Texans to watch out for rattlesnakes after rushing her two dogs to the vet clinic.
Tricia Schiller Begesse said that at first, she noticed a little swelling and a scrape on one of her dog's noses. She thought maybe he had gotten stuck on something.
Thirty minutes later, her dog's nose grew to three times the normal size.
Begesse said she went to check on the other dogs and realized her other dog, Pedro, had fang marks between his eyes and his head had doubled in size.
She said that her son had killed two rattlesnakes the week prior to the bites on their property.
