CENTRAL TEXAS — A chemical fire continues to rage in east Houston near Deer Park.

This fire is sending a plume of smoke into the air that is moving to the northwest across Houston. Thankfully, almost all of the plume dissipates as it moves farther to the northwest toward the Brazos Valley.

As of now, the TCEQ has air quality in our area in the good category. It will likely stay that way as north winds blow into Central Texas behind a cold front Wednesday afternoon and evening.
