CHINA SPRING, TX — H-E-B officials, along with Operation Family House, surprised a Central Texas veteran with a mortgage-free home in China Spring Tuesday evening.
U.S. Marine Staff Sergeant Felipe Tremillo, Jr. was awarded the home as part of H-E-B's Operation Appreciation.
"Being here and having such a big ceremony for my family, and I just... to be commemorated this way is such a big deal. I mean, it really does solidify the welcome home. It allows me to believe that there's something much greater at hand," the veteran said.
Representatives from the organization and community members were all there to celebrate.
