WACO, TX — Central Christian Church hosted their seventh annual "Fat Tuesday Pancake Supper".
It was a feast of endless pancakes and toppings as a live jazz performance filled the room.
With lent coming up, the pancake supper is a way that the congregation enjoys what they will be giving up.
For some who do not have the chance to visit New Orleans for Mardi Gras, the church staff say that the event is a way to have a little taste of the holiday.
"A lot of people in our city, or in our know about Mardi Gras, that happens in New Orleans, but maybe hasn't been there, or hasn't experienced it. So this just gives us a little taste of a really family friendly way to celebrate Mardi Gras.", said Kristin Jack, Family Minister at Central Christian Church.
