WACO, TX — The Cameron Park Zoo welcomed a new baby gibbon this month.

Gracie the white-handed gibbon and mother to 4-year-old Lucy, gave birth to a baby boy on April 13.

This is the third offspring for Gracie and the newborn's dad Spike. Their first-born Mel was born in Sept. 2000. He now lives at the Gladys Porter Zoo in Brownsville. Lucy, who still lives at the Cameron Park Zoo, was born in June 2015.

Zoo staff is asking for the public's help in naming the new baby boy. Zookeepers narrowed the decision down to three choices: Charlie, Eddie and Tommy.

From April 25 through May 10 you can click here to vote on your pick for the baby gibbon's name. The money raised will go to the Cameron Park Zoo Conservation fund.

Gracie, Spike, Lucy and the new baby will all be on display in the exhibit starting April 25, weather permitting.
