WALKER COUNTY, TX — Two of Billie Wayne Coble's family members were arrested after an outburst moments before his execution.

While Billie was giving his final statement, Gordon Coble began screaming the word "no" and pounding on the glass, sparking a scene among the Coble family.

When authorities tried to remove Gordon from the witness room, he put up a fight. He began thrashing around, kicking and throwing his arms and was then dragged out of the room.

Family member Dalton Coble and a woman then got involved.

All three were removed from the witness room. Only two witnesses were left to watch the execution. They remained calm and prayed.

Dalton and Gordon were booked into the Walker County Jail on disorderly conduct - language and resisting arrest, search, or transport charges.

They each received a $1,000 bond for the resisting arrest charge as well as a $200 fine for disorderly conduct.

On Thursday, Billie was the third inmate put to death in the United States and second in the state this year. He was convicted in 1990 of murdering three members of his estranged wife's family.
