WACO, TX — Better Streets Waco is holding a virtual public meeting on the Hwy 84 construction at 6 p.m. on June 11th.

During the meeting City Staff, Consultants, and TXDOT representatives will be discussing the following projects: Highway 84 Corridor Wastewater System Improvements (Harris Creek Road), Oak Road Improvements, Cotton Belt Trail Utilities Improvements, Trail Blazer Park Improvements, Hwy 84/Speegleville Rd. Expansion (TXDOT)

If you have questions you do need to send in questions two hours prior to the meeting and those questions can be emailed to teresab@wacotx.gov or you can call (254) 750-6613.

Construction road work is deemed an essential business and with fewer travelers on the road due to the pandemic, road work has gone on better than anticipated.

"So what we've seen on the 84 project, they're actually pretty far ahead of schedule. And then there's a lot of communication of whats going on and what’s going to happen in the near future," Engineering Manager, Kody Petillo, said.
