Baylor University issued a warning to students to shelter in place after a shooting at a student apartment complex.
The Waco Police Department reported a shooting at the Eastgate Apartments, located at 1912 South Fifth Street.

According to the alert, students were urged to seek shelter immediately, and stay away from doors and windows.

Baylor has lifted the shelter in place for students after receiving an all clear from Waco PD.
BAYLOR ALERT: The Waco Police Department has given the all clear. It is now safe to resume normal activities on campus.

Police told 25 News at the scene they are following a blood trail in the area.
According to Baylor, witnesses observed suspects fleeing the area away from campus.
In a statement, Baylor confirmed the incident occured nearby campus, not on campus. It did not involve an active shooter on campus. An alert was issued "per Clery requirements for our campus community."
