WACO, TX — Heads up, Waco! Baylor Scott & White - Hillcrest needs your help.
The hospital is currently housing patients and staff who are staying on-site to ensure top-notch patient care. Due to the added staff, the group is anticipating an excess of 250 additional meals per day needed.
With delivery trucks seeing a delay from the weather, BSW is asking for the community's help in feeding their team members.
Any local restaurants or community partners with an overage of food is asked to donate it to the hospital.
Staff says they're in dire need of:
- Pre-packed or prepared meals that staff can easily take back to their units
- Bottled water or other bottled drinks (juices, etc.)
- Grab and go snacks – granola bars, peanut butter crackers, etc.
If community members are able to safely bring the food to the main hospital, the back Emergency Department entrance is the best place to do so. BSW does have some community members who can travel to pick up the food.
