WACO, TX — An arrest has been made in an 18-month murder investigation.
Waco police said on Wednesday, the U.S. Marshal's Task Force arrested Christopher Allan Bias, 41, after an arrest warrant was obtained for capital murder.
Bias killed Taivunn Demontre Briscoe in March 2018. Police said foul play was suspected in his death.
Briscoe was found dead on March 20, 2018, in a closet after being bounded up. An autopsy was ordered and showed that he dies from homicidal trauma.
Through an investigation, it was found that a criminal episode started on March 19. A kidnapping of another man took place at that same home after he was placed at gunpoint.
After many interviews with witnesses, detectives were able to obtain several search warrants that were vital to the case.
Bias was arrested and was transported to the McLennan County Jail.
His bond is set at $750,000.
