WACO, TX — Many are looking to vacation once again after the pandemic canceled or rescheduled past trips.
A recentstudy from Texas A&M College Agriculture and Life Sciences says family bonding during the pandemic is leading to a resurgence of family trips.
One business that has grown is travel agents, there are many reaching out to the free service to help with bookings as things still seem a little uncertain.
Allen Samuel's House of Travel in Waco is seeing many deals on vacations like cruises.
Travel agent, Bambi Eskew says she's encouraging her clients to get travel insurance no matter where you're going.
"Cancel for any reason insurance is out there, it's an option for you it gives you a peace of mind," Eskew said. "Let’s say you want to take advantage of the good pricing today and book for October and something happens you don't feel comfortable traveling you have a way out."
The national study also states that many are looking for a more positive return on their trip, traveling by car, or taking part in outdoor activities are some things that have increased when wanting to travel.
Zach Owen has a trip to Cabo planned in July and thanks to Eskew he feels safe going on vacation right now.
"Thought about going in June and I thought I'll put it off a little bit longer but I feel very comfortable going in July and we booked in and got a heck of a deal," Owen said.
