MART, TX — A Mart I.S.D teacher has been arrested for improper relationship between an educator and student. His arrest affidavit shows that the relationship had been going on for almost two years.
The City of Mexia said on Jan. 26 Conrad Flusche was arraigned before Limestone County Justice of the Peace Ray Jones on the charge of Improper Relationship Between Educator and Student.
According to the affidavit, a family member of the victim tipped off police about the relationship. Police discovered that Flusche had started the relationship when the girl was 14 at Mexia ISD.
Police discovered Flusche and the victim's sexual relationship began over a year ago. She told police they had sex at his home and at the school in Mart.
The guardian of the victim said Flusche would come to their residence to pick up the victim for a school project. He told her that the project included several other teachers and students.
There was no school project.
Police also discovered multiple messages between the two, including sexually explicit images. In one message, Flusche said, "I am going to jail."
The victim even feared she was pregnant in 2019 by Flusche.
Flusche was placed on paid administrative leave while the school investigated.
According letter from Mexia ISD, the Mexia Police Department also informed district administration of a possible incident involving a current Mexia High School student and a former district employee.
Mart ISD sent out a letter to parents stating they were investigating complaints made against a teacher. The letter said, "The school district is cooperating fully with local law enforcement as these allegations are investigated."
