WACO, TX — There have been 15 new reported COVID-19 cases involving students and 7 new reported COVID-19 cases involving staff members at Midway High School over the past two days, according to letters sent home to parents.
On Monday, December 14, administration sent a letter to parents and staff stating five 12th graders, three 11th graders, one 10th grader and five staff members tested positive for COVID-19.
The next day, administration issued a letter stating two 9th graders, two 10th graders, two 12th graders and two staff members also tested positive for the virus.
According to the district's COVID-19 dashboard, as of publication, there are 25 active cases of the virus involving high school staff and students. Ten of those cases are among 12th graders.
