100 Club presents checks to family of fallen K-9 Deputy Jones, Chief Krumnow

WACO, TX — The 100 Club of Central Texas presented checks to the family of fallen Falls County K-9 Deputy Matt Jones and Riesel Chief of Police Danny Krumnow.

The 100 Club's mission is to support police, firefighters and their families in times of need.

The organization presented Deputy Jones' widow a check for $30,796.

The organization also presented Chief Krumnow a check for $11,329.76.

Deputy Jones and Chief Krumnow were assisting a vehicle on Highway 6 near CR-109 on October 11 when they were hit by a Mazda that had hydroplaned. Deputy Jones was killed, while Chief Krumnow was severely injured.
