FORT HOOD, TX — A temporary boil water notice is in effect for designated areas of Fort Hood. This is NOT a Fort Hood-wide boil water notice, according to the III Corps and Fort Hood Facebook page.

No housing areas, as well as any other areas not listed, will need to boil water.

Starting Tuesday, Feb. 23, buildings in the 41000 Block, as well as ones in the immediate area surrounding the Mission Training Center and the Rod and Gun Club, will be issued temporary boil water notices as a precautionary measure as water is returned to those areas.

Only designated areas of Fort Hood buildings will be issued a temporary boil water notice over the next several days as water is restored to those areas through water pipes that were recently repaired from damage caused by the winter storm, the statement said.

The boil water notice will be in effect until lab testing indicates safe water flowing from water pipes within the designated areas.
