FORT HOOD, TX — A different kind of boutique recently opened on Fort Hood on Monday to help Military servicewomen and Military spouses get formal wear.

Operation Deploy Your Dress is a different kind of boutique aiming to get Military servicewomen and Military spouses formal dresses for free once a year.

The boutique started out of Fort Bliss in El Paso five years ago in 2015 when the founders wanted to organize a dress swap for spouses in their unit.

Those hoping to get a dress only have to present a valid Military ID and sign their record book before heading home with their dress.

Operation Deploy Your Dress is located next to the Clear Creek Commissary and you must set up an appointment before coming to the boutique.

If you would like to donate previously loved dresses and accessories, donations can be sent to Fort Hood Spouses Club, Building 332 761st Tank Battalion Ave PO Box 5982, Fort Hood, TX 76544.

You can follow Fort Hood-Operation Deploy Your Dress on Facebook for more updates.
