FORT HOOD, TX — Military police checked Montague Village Elementary on Tuesday due to a burglary in the neighborhood.
Killeen ISD said at 2:15 p.m. the MPs asked to check the school because there was a burglary in the neighborhood.
The MPs told school leadership that they did not need to lock down the school.
The building was checked by MPs and was cleared for continued normal operations.
The principal sent an automated phone message to parents, as well.
