FORT HOOD, TX — A Fort Hood Chaplain is currently under investigation by Security Force Assistance Command (SFAC) for posting comments on an Army Times Facebook post in regard to the recent ban on transgender service members being removed.

Army Maj. Andrew Calvert left a comment on an Army Times Facebook post saying, “How is rejecting reality (biology) not evidence that a person is mentally unfit (ill), and thus making that person unqualified to serve."

The comment gained the attention of many on social media which resulted in SFAC announcing an investigation into the comments.

If a Facebook post, SFAC said, "We are aware of the recent comments posted to the Army Times Facebook in regard to the ban being removed on transgender service members. This incident is under investigation."

President Joe Biden signed the order on Monday which sets a policy that all Americans who are qualified to serve in the Armed Forces of the United States should be able to serve.
