COLLEGE STATION, TX — College Station residents will have to wait awhile longer to find out who their next city council will be.
The special election for the vacant seat is heading to a runoff election on April 18th.
The January 28th special election would have yielded to the winner who was able to reach 50% plus one of the votes, but none of the candidates reached that number.
The runoff election will be between the two candidates that received the highest percentage of the votes.
Joe Guerra, Jr. received 49.31% of the votes and Elizabeth Cunha finished with 31.91% of the votes.
