Two men arrested, one other wanted after deadly drive-by shooting

BRYAN, TX — UPDATE:
The Bryan Police Department announced that Demetrius Thomas has been arrested on Tuesday evening in Bryan, TX.

Thomas is also being charged with evading arrest or detention in a motor vehicle.

ORIGINAL STORY:

One man has been arrested and two others are wanted after a deadly drive-by shooting in Bryan.

Around 11:30 p.m. on June 3, officers with the Bryan Police Department responded to reports of a drive-by shooting in the 1100 block of Clark Street.

When officers arrived, they located 32-year-old Derrick O'Bryant Smith, who was incapacitated by what appeared to be a gunshot wound.

Smith was taken to CHI St. Joseph Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Bryan PD believes the shooting was the result of a previous incident between the involved parties.

On June 5, arrest warrants were issued for three suspects- Ayrian Brown, Demetrius Thomas and Deshawn Franklin.

On June 11, Ayrian Brown was arrested in Austin, Texas, for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon warrant and a warrant out of pardon and parole.

Bryan PD is still searching for Thomas and Franklin.

Thomas is 24-years-old, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 270 pounds. He is wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and a pardon and parole warrant.

Franklin is 18-years-old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 185 pounds. He is wanted on a warrant for evading with a vehicle out of Galveston, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
