Woman arrested after two stolen cars, stolen firearms and narcotics found at her home

KILLEEN, TX — One woman has been arrested after two stolen cars, two stolen firearms and narcotics were found at her home.

The Killeen Police Department was contacted by the Travis County Sheriff's Office for help in locating a stolen vehicle equipped with a GPS tracker out of their agency.

The GPS showed the stolen vehicle, a 2008 silver Mercedes, was in the backyard of a home in the 1100 block of Nolan Avenue.

When officers arrived, they saw the stolen car parked in the backyard with another vehicle parked in the driveway. The vehicle in the driveway was found to be stolen out of Copperas Cove.

A search warrant was secured for the home. During the search, officers recovered two stolen firearms out of Harker Heights, narcotics, the keys to the stolen vehicles and a "large amount of identifying information.

The home was occupied by three people, including 28-year-old Chelsea Smith.

Smith was found to have five outstanding warrants for burglary of a vehicle and one for debit/credit card abuse. The warrants were from the Belton, Nolanville and Harker Heights Police Departments.

Smith was arrested and transported to the Bell County Jail.
