Killeen police: Two arrested in connection with shooting on Hunt Circle

KILEEN, TX — Killeen police said they arrested two suspects in connection with a shooting that occurred at Hunt Circle and Westcliff road on May 30.

Police identified the suspects as 21 year-old Eric David Madden, charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and 20 year-old Shyheem Jubar Washington, charged with failing to report a felony.
According to the Bell County jail roster, Madden and Washington are both being charged with murder, a first degree felony.

Police said at approximately 12:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Lake Road in reference to a shooting victim.

When officers arrived at the scene, they were told the shooting occurred at Hunt Circle and Westcliff Road where they found a victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was airlifted to Baylor Scott and White in stable condition.

On June 18, police received information about the suspects and CID Detectives with the assistance of the United States Marshals-Lone Star Fugitive Task Force apprehended them without incident in the 3300 block of Stan Schlueter Loop.

Madden and Washington are being held at Bell County Jail each on a $1,000,000 bond.
