TEMPLE, TX — The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is inviting veterans and their family members to a job fair on Jan. 24.
The job fair will be at the Olin E. Teague Veteran's Medical Center at 1901 Veterans Memorial Drive in Temple from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Building 171, Conference Room A25.
A variety of employers who are committed to hiring veterans will be in attendance to take applications and speak with applicants, including: Texas Veterans Commission; Goodwill Industries, Texas Workforce Commission, and more.
It is recommended that veterans bring their resumes along with any supporting documents, such as reference letters, licenses held, ect.
No appointments at the job fair are necessary.
There will also be Employment Services staff present who will be on hand if veterans need help on how to create a resume as well as job interview techniques.
Suicide Prevention staff will be available to provide information and answer questions.
