HARKER HEIGHTS, TX — Harker Heights police are investigating an auto-pedestrian accident that happened Monday morning.
Police said at 10:42 a.m., emergency services were notified of a vehicle and pedestrian accident in the 700 block of Prospector Trail.
First responders arrived and located two victims who were struck by a 2005 silver Ford Escape.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates the Ford Escape was traveling eastbound when it collided with the two victims who were walking in the same direction.
A 40-year-old woman was airlifted by Life Flight Services to Baylor Scott and White with incapacitating injuries. A 54-year-old woman was transported to the hospital by ambulance to Seton Hospital with incapacitating injuries as well.
The driver of the Ford Escape was uninjured.
This is an ongoing investigation.
