TEMPLE, TX — Two Temple men are without a home after a fire on Monday morning.
Temple Fire & Rescue said one of the men returned from the store to discover the home in the 700 block of W. Munroe Avenue on fire. The man woke up his brother who was sleeping inside the house.
Fire officials said the blaze started in the front room of the house. The cause of the fire is not known but investigators have ruled it as unintentional.
The home received both fire and smoke damage, but the monetary loss is not yet known.
The two men are working with the property management company, the American Red Cross and Salvation Army to find housing and other needs.
