Two suspects arrested after convenience store robberies, leading officers on short chase

HARKER HEIGHTS, TX — Two aggravated robbery suspects have been arrested after leading officers on a pursuit after allegedly robbing two stores Sunday evening.

The robbery happened at Sam Food Mart located in the 2300 block of Indian Trail at 11:55 p.m.

Harker Heights police said that the first robbery included two men, one of which threatened the clerk with a knife.

Police said that eleven minutes later, another robbery was reported at the CEFCO in the 900 block of Indian Trail, including the suspects described in the first robbery. Police said that the suspects had left the knife at the scene and taken the register when they left.

While officers were responding to the other scenes, suspicious person were reported at another convenience store located on East Knight's Way that matched the description of the suspects.

When officers arrived in the area, they located the suspects attempting to leave in a vehicle. After an attempt to stop the vehicle, the suspects exited the car and fled on foot.

One suspect was captured after a short foot pursuit and the other was found later hiding in the backyard of a residence in the Knights Ridge area.
