BELTON, TX — Authorities are investigating after two men who were walking on Loop 121 after being released from Bell County Jail were shot.
Belton Police and a DPS Trooper responded to a shooting call around 2:50 p.m. at the Avenue O and Loop 121 intersection.
Both men sustained non-life threatening injuries. One man was shot in the shoulder and transported to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center. The other was grazed in the chest and refused medical treatment.
The shooter fled the scene in a dark-colored sedan, possibly a Nissan Maxima.
Belton PD says the investigation is ongoing.
