TEMPLE — Two people received minor injuries after a cooking fire in Temple.
Temple police said it happened on Feb. 26 at Bluebonnet Estates on East Young Avenue. Firefighters arrived on scene and saw light smoke coming from the front door and a burned section of an outside wall.
One of the injured was treated on scene and refused medical transport, but another was taken to Baylor Scott & White.
Officials said the fire started from unattended cooking. Fire damage was limited to the kitchen area.
Loss to the structure is estimated to be $17,000.
