KILLEEN, TX — The Central Texas community continues to support our nation's heroes.

One of the many ways is the annual holiday wreath project.

Each year, thousands help to create and lay wreaths for fallen veterans.

And on Saturday, the community came together once again to show their support and share their stories at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

"Well my husband's stone is here. He was cremated and had his ashes sprinkled back home but I wanted something that I could come out to the cemetery," said Margaret Miller.

The thousands of family members and veterans in the cemetery will be remembered and honored throughout the holiday season with a wreath on their grave site.

"Having a military around is just so wonderful. They take care of their own... and this is just great," said Miller.
