BELL COUNTY, TX — Texas EquuSearch has resumed its search for missing Fort Hood soldier Vanessa Guillen in a new area near its original searches.
The group temporarily suspended its search near the Leon River on June 25. Members scouted out the new area Friday and will return with more equipment and members Saturday, June 27.
Twenty-year-old Pfc. Vanessa Guillen, assigned to 3rd Cavalry Regiment, was last seen on April 22 in the parking lot of her Regimental Engineer Squadron Headquarters on Fort Hood. Anyone with information on her disappearance is asked to call the Fort Hood Criminal Investigation Division at 254-495-7767.
Texas EquuSearch Search and Recovery have been a non-profit since August 2000. They have been involved with over 1,800 searches in 42 states. They have successfully returned 400 missing people and recovered the remains of 238 missing loved ones.
