TEMPLE, TX — Temple Police have arrested a man for intentionally setting his home on fire.
Fire Marshals working for Temple Fire and Rescue served the warrant, leading to the arrest of a suspect at a recent fire.
Working with the Temple Police Department, 58-year-old Michael Aaron Schneider, was arrested without incident on Friday, June 12.
His arrest stems from a structure fire earlier in the week, in the Bird Creek Mobile Home Park, according to Temple Fire and Rescue.
Schneider was charged with a second degree felony - arson of a habitation, when he intentionally lit his home on fire, according to police.
Further details regarding the case have not been released at this time.
Schneider is currently at the Bell County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
Temple Fire and Rescue would like to remind the public that arson is a felony offense.
