Temple Fire and Rescue responds to grass fire

TEMPLE, TX — Temple Fire and Rescue responded to a reported grass fire on Thursday.

According to officials, at 8:04 p.m. firefighters responded to a grass fire in the 700 block of Red Coat Drive.

Firefighters arrived to find a wooden privacy fence and utility box burning in an alley. The fire damaged the fence and an AT&T utility box.

The phone and internet service in the vicinity was interrupted due to the damage.

Officials said juveniles were seen in the vicinity.

Investigators with the Fire Marshal's Office are working to identify the individuals responsible for setting the fire.
