TEMPLE, TX — Temple City Attorney Kayla Landeros has announced her resignation.
Landeros' resignation plans are effective Sept. 20.
She was appointed the city attorney on Nov. 13, 2014, and has been with the city for seven years.
During her tenure, she has worked as the deputy city attorney, interim city attorney and city attorney.
City council is set to meet on May 13 in an executive session to discuss filling her position.
Landeros has accepted a position as a member of Naman, Howell, Smith & Lee, PLLC. She will be working in the firm's Waco office and serving clients in the Central Texas area.
Landeros will also continue serving as an adjunct professor at Baylor Law School.
