HARKER HEIGHTS, TX — Harker Heights Police are investigating what they are calling a double homicide after performing a welfare check and found 2 dead bodies in a home in the 2500 block of Red Fern Drive.
On Wednesday night around 11:30 pm, Harker Heights Police received a call from Copperas Cove Police, initially considered well fare check at the 2500 block of Red Fern Dr.
When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered that it was a double homicide.
Two people were found dead in the home. Officials are not releasing the names of the victims until next of kin are notified.
Police say a suspect is currently in custody and they don't believe the community is in danger as this was an isolated incident.
