KILLEEN, TX — A man was arrested for murder after he allegedly shot another man who tried to get in between the suspect and a woman during a disturbance.

Around 8:54 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, officers were called out to the 2100 block of Reese Creek Road for a call about a shooting victim and possible kidnapping.

Killeen PD says the preliminary investigation revealed that a woman in the home and 25-year-old Bryan Jamal Dunn of Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District of Columbia, were involved in a disturbance when 48-year-old Luis Eddie Cosme of Killeen intervened and was shot by Dunn.

Killeen PD says Dunn then forced the woman into his vehicle and fled the area. The woman was later released in Round Rock.

Cosme succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke at 9:33 p.m.

Dunn was arrested for murder. He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Bill Cooke, who set his bond at $1,000,000. Dunn is currently being held in the Bell County Jail.
