Suspect identified in 12-hour standoff in Harker Heights neighborhood

HARKER HEIGHTS, TX — A heavy police presence was reported in a Harker Heights neighborhood early Monday morning due to a standoff. The standoff ended after 9 a.m.

Harker Heights Police say at approximately 9:10 a.m. they took into their custody 39-year-old Justin Robison, who had been holding out against police, without any further resistance.

Robison was transported to Baylor Scott and White hospital in Temple for evaluation and treatment.

The suspect was charged with aggravated assault against a public servant.

Robison is being held at the Bell County Jail on a $200,000 bond.

Police say officers were dispatched to the 800 Block of Olive Lane responding to a call of a psychiatric/abnormal behavior/possible suicide attempt. On arrival, police say officers obtained information there was one male in the residence. The person was threatening suicide by police and did fire a shot within the residence.

Police had cordoned off and secured the area around the residence. The person inside had fired more shots inside the residence. Police say they continued to maintain communications with the person inside the residence.

Several streets were blocked near the area of the 800 block of Olive Lane.

Killeen ISD said the following roads were blocked off: Vineyard at Stillhouse Hollow Vineyard at Green Meadow Olive and Moose They also said they are monitoring the situation and will make adjustments for transportation as needed.
