Sheriff: Man arrested, charged after found with 30 grams of meth

BELTON, TX — A man was arrested and charged after police said he was found with meth and a firearm on Tuesday.

The sheriff's department said agents with the Bell County Organized Crime Unit and the Bell County Sheriff's Department Tactical Unit executed a search warrant.

The warrant was executed at a home in the 4300 block of Mulberry Drive.

During the search, officials found approximately 30 grams of meth along with distribution of paraphernalia and one firearm was seized.

Officials arrested 40-year-old Gordon Verge. He was charged with possession of a controlled substance.

His bond is set at $75,000.
