TEMPLE, TX — At least $1,000 has been raised for a Central Texas puppy found over the weekend.
A dog named 'Miracle' was found in terrible conditions near Buc-ee's in Temple.
Joel Crenshaw with Tiny Hooves Rescue and Petting Zoo was heading home Friday night when he came across a crate in a ditch at the fork of East Young Ave.
Miracle was extremely emaciated when she was found. She is also suffering from a case of mange.
The team quickly raised funds for her medical bills and right now they have enough money for her immediate vet care.
She is currently being taken care of at the Belton Veterinary Clinic. Vets say that she is extremely lucky to be alive, and she was clearly neglected.
On Monday evening, Tiny Hooves rescues said that she will be getting a blood transfusion in the morning if her blood work does not come back normal.
However, on Tuesday morning her blood work looked normal and she will not need the transfusion and she is beginning to wag her tail and give kisses.
Once she is cleared from the bet, she will live with a foster family.
The clinic is no longer accepting donations for Miracle, however you may still help other rescues by donating to Tiny Hooves Rescue.
