HARKER HEIGHTS, TX — The first baby born at Seton Medical Center of Harker Heights in 2020 is here!
Leo Dante B. Johnson entered the world at 10:29 a.m. He weighed 7 pounds 5 oz.
Baby Leo made his debut a little early, but just in time to usher in a new decade.
“I was not expecting it at all. His due date was January 6th so...I was honestly expecting him to come after his due date,” said Preciouss Benson, Leo’s mother.
Leo’s Mom Preciouss started getting contractions on New Year’s Eve. They thought it was a false alarm, but went to the hospital just to be on the safe side. It turned out to be a wise decision.
“He’s my first son and to have it on new year’s is definitely a blessing,” said Justin Johnson, Leo’s father.
The family received a basket of goodies from the hospital in celebration of being the first born of the year.
Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Hillcrest also welcomed their first baby of 2020 in Waco.
The baby boy was born at 12:50 p.m. and weighed 7 pounds 5 oz.
They named their son Makai Deshon Parker.
