KILLEEN, TX — The biannual Senior Health Fair was held at the Lions Club Park Senior Center on Monday.
Just over 30 vendors came together to promote senior health.
"I have gotten information on blood pressure, diabetes," said Carlean Stone, a senior who participated in the event.
"So it's a great opportunity for the seniors to get some information that they may not have heard before or to see what's available as far as resources that can benefit them in the future or even presently," said Carla Medina, senior center manager.
Seniors shared they were glad to have the chance to participate in the event.
"Absolutely I'd like to see more events like this and I'd like to see other seniors involved," said Stone.
"I think it's wonderful I really do because a lot of people need it, need the information," said Juanita Coleman, a senior who also participated in the event.
The next senior health fair will be held in September.
