SALADO, TX — The Salado Independent School District will break ground on its new middle school on Wednesday.
The groundbreaking ceremony will take place at the construction site on Williams Road, south of Salado High School at 5 p.m.
According to the press release, the new middle school will be 136,000 square feet and is scheduled to open in August 2020. The new school is part of the $49.4 million 2018 bond.
Salado ISD board members will attend the groundbreaking ceremony, as well as district administrators, staff and community members.
The school district currently serves almost 2,000 students from grades Pre-K to 12th.
