KILLEEN, TX — The public is invited to the burial of an unaccompanied Army and Coast Guard veteran.
Born on March 27, 1944, William Thomas Warren served in the United States Army from September 4, 1962 to September 3, 1965. He then served in the United States Coast Guard from September 13, 1973 to September 12, 1977.
The Texas Veterans Land Board is inviting the community to Warren's burial because he is not expected to have anyone attend.
Warren will receive military honors. If no next-of-kin is present at the burial, the On-Site Representative of the Veterans Land Board will accept the United States flag on his behalf.
The burial is scheduled for Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at 11 a.m. at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.
