BELTON, TX — Three cars were hit by thrown objects on I-14 in Belton, according to officials.
According to Belton police, between 12:30 a.m. and 12:45 a.m. on Tuesday, police received three calls from people who reported that their cars were hit by thrown objects while driving.
The objects were thrown on I-14 between Loop 121 and FM 1670.
One of the objects that was thrown at cars were eggs. One of the callers also said his car was hit by a rock.
Officers who answered calls on Tuesday questioned two juveniles that were in the area, however, no arrests were made.
Belton police said they are not sure if the objects were thrown off an overpass, but a caller claimed it was.
On March 10, a 33-year-old woman was killed when someone threw a rock off an overpass in Temple.
Police say the person threw a rock from the overpass, to the interstate below, hitting Flores' car, breaking the windshield and hitting Flores, who sat in the front passenger seat.
Another rock was thrown off an overpass in Temple Tuesday afternoon. The rock did hit a moving vehicle, but there were no injuries. The rock hit the sunroof of a Volkswagon GTI.
Temple police are still investigating both incidents.
