Police search for suspect with arrest warrant in Harker Heights

HARKER HEIGHTS, TX — Harker Heights police are searching for the suspect who they said is at large for an arrest warrant.

Police said at 7:34 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1600 block of Yuma Trail in reference to a report of an assault. A victim was able to provide limited information to who the suspect was.

Detectives were able to obtain and did an executed search warrant at the location of the assault.

An arrest affidavit was presented to justice of the peace Bill Cooke.

The suspect is currently at large and the charge is for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect's name is being withheld pending his arrest and arraignment.

The suggested bond is $100,000.

The victim was originally transported to Seton Medical Center, but was airlifted to Baylor Scott and White in Temple due to serious injuries.

The victim is currently in critical condition.
