KILLEEN, TX — Killeen police identified the suspect who shot a woman in a Killeen neighborhood Thursday night.
Police said Cynthia Ann Wilson is being charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and is being held at Bell County Jail on a $200,000 bond.
According to police, officers responded to the shooting in the 2800 block of Larissa Drive at 7:47 p.m. Thursday.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found a 47 year-old woman suffering from a gunshot wound.
The woman was immediately airlifted to Baylor Scott & White Temple in critical condition.
Officers said the suspect and victim had a verbal dispute that turned physical. That is when Wilson shot the victim.
The suspect barricaded herself inside a home for 15 minutes before coming out and surrendering.
The suspect was arrested without incident and transported to the Killeen City Jail.
