KILLEEN, TX — Police are investigating after a Salvation Army red kettle was stolen outside of Walmart in Killeen.
The bellringer was not injured. It is unknown how much money was inside at the time of the robbery. The incident was reported to the authorities and is under investigation.
The annual red kettle campaign is The Salvation Army’s major fund raiser and provides much needed funds to support year-round programs and services in Bell County such as the McLane Center of Hope men, women, and family shelter which provides shelter and case management for 70 people in our community nightly.
