Police investigating after man shot in the back, woman pistol-whipped during home invasion

The Temple Police Department is investigating a home invasion that happened on Wednesday.

At approximately 1:55 a.m. on April 29, officers responded to a shooting in the 100 block of E. Avenue M.

Upon arrival officers determined two unknown males had kicked in the front door and were wearing masks and both armed with handguns. A male victim was pistol whipped and shot in the back and a female victim was drug out of bed and pistol whipped.

Injuries were non-life-threatening. No suspects have been identified and no description is available. This case is active.
