TEMPLE, TX — Police have identified the two children found dead inside of a Temple home Sept. 30 as two-year-old boy, Terric Boyd, and one-year-old girl, Janea Boyd.
The two children were found dead and two others were removed from a Temple home on Monday, Sept. 30 during a welfare check.
According to the Temple Police Department, around 11:38 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of South 35th Street for the welfare check. When they entered the home, officers found two small children.
Police said it was a 1-year-old girl and a 2-year-old boy.
The children were pronounced dead at the scene. TPD says the children were dead for some time.
There were two other children in the home at the time. They are now in the care of Child Protective Services.
A woman was also in the home. TPD says she was in a catatonic state and was transported to Baylor Scott & White.
Officers are trying to figure out the relationship between the children and the woman.
