BELTON, TX — Belton police have arrested a 21-year-old man accused of robbing a CVS on Aug. 12, 2019.

Police say the man, identified as Joseph Riley Knowles, handed a CVS pharmacy worker a note demanding prescription drugs.

The incident occurred in the 2800 block of North Main St. The suspect was captured on surveillance footage where he can be seen handing the note to the pharmacy worker.

After Belton PD put out a request to identify the suspect on social media, Knowles was identified as a person of interest soon after, said police. He was wanted on a warrant when he turned himself in at the Belton Police Department on Friday, Aug. 23, according to police.

Knowles is being held at Bell County Jail on a $100,000 bond. He is charged with robbery, second degree felony.
