KILLEEN, TX — The Pink Warrior Angels of Texas inaugural Runway of Hope offered cancer survivors a day of pampering followed by a runway show where the survivors starred as models.
"I was diagnosed with breast cancer December 6, 2017 which was the day after my 43rd birthday," said Holly Branham.
A common diagnosis brought nearly 20 people together this weekend.
"And we all have that one thing in common - it's cancer. We're all different ages, races, just everything but we have cancer in common and it brings us all together," said Branham.
Branham shared her story at the first ever Pink Warrior Angels of Texas Runway of Hope.
"I'm one and a half years cancer free now," said Branham.
She was just one of many models who enjoyed a day of pampering before hitting the catwalk.
"It's just a bond. I mean we're all complete strangers but yet we came together. We're all talking. We're all laughing. We're all telling our story and it's just, it's just something amazing. It's just amazing to be a part of," said Branham.
It was a moment the models said they will never forget.
The event ended with a live auction and all proceeds will go toward direct support for cancer survivors.
